The Carson City (English: Carson City) is the capital of the US state Nevada. The city according to the census of 2010 has 55 274 inhabitants. The metropolitan area of Carson is the smallest of the US population. In the city lives the majority of Eagle Valley residents on the eastern edge of the Sierra Carson, a branch of the Sierra Nevada. The valley diareetai the river Carson. Located 50 km south of Reno. The name is due to the explorer Kit Carson.
The first settlements in the region were established during the fever of gold of California. This gave a strong impetus to the development of the city was the discovery of significant silver reserves in Komstok Lodi, near Carson City, increasing the economic importance of the region.
